Siren Call
Predawn picturesque waves roll ashore the wave-cut platform, called marine terrace of Lanzarote Island. This island shares the same geological history with the island of Fuerteventura. Additionally both islands belong to the oldest of the Canary Island volcanic chain. If we only could watch long enough, we would become contemporary witnesses of the next islands birth. For example this happened in1963 close to Iceland when the volcanic island of Surtsey raised above the sea-level.
