Epitaph
Yellowstone’s hot spot super volcano is located within the Rocky Mountain range at a height of about 2000 m. The cold early morning air condenses in the environment of the hot spouting geysers resulting in deep fog that is barely translucident to suns light. The large area affected by the wild fires of 1988 destroyed up to 36% of Yellowstone’s forest stand. The burnt logs even emphasize the dark atmosphere creataed by the foggy landscape.
